Arnold is BACK Filming "Terminator” as the T-800!!

Three years ago, "Terminator Genisys" was released in theaters and while it pleased a tad more than half the fans, it didn’t perform as well as we had all hoped. Considering it was not a mega box office hit, many fans believed it might be the final nail in the coffin and the franchise would be terminated forever. However, with great delight, we can announce that today - Arnold is at last BACK! Schwarzenegger, returning as the T-800 and he’ll be filming for “two months” in Hungary.

Arnold, now 71, has been hitting the gym two to three times a day recently to get ready for his big return. Linda Hamilton, who also trained very hard for many months, has already been filming for some time now but between July 31and August 1st was Schwarzenegger's first time he actually stepped behind the camera. Other sites were incorrect when they said Arnold had begun filming in the third week of July but he actually didn’t land in Hungary until Monday, July 30th (his birthday). But we can forgive the sites for their mistakes because Arnold did say several days ago on social media that he was currently doing Terminator 6. But what he meant was he was heavily involved in prepping for it (rehearsing, exercising, facial scans, going over lines and so on).

Thanks to the studio for reaching out to James Cameron and bringing him on as a highly-involved producer and bringing back Schwarzenegger with Linda Hamilton, general audiences may be willing to give the franchise a final shot at redemption. But audiences will be WAY more pumped if the studio announces the film will be rated R! This new Terminator film follows the continuation of T2, erasing the existence of T3 through T5. We’re off to a great start!

TheArnoldFans were BACK at San Diego Comic Con this year and once again, there was plenty of new prototype collectibles to make all of us Terminator and Schwarzenegger fans happy. This is the biggest pop culture convention in the world and it’s always fantastic to meet up with our fellow fans. While 2018’s Comic Con was a lot of fun, we do expect 2019’s Con to be one of the best yet for Schwarzenegger fans as we predict Arnold will most likely be there to promote both "Kung Fury: The Movie” and 2019's “The Terminator” along with Linda Hamilton. With Terminator coming to theaters next November, there will be a big push of the film at Comic Con for promotion including a panel and several free promos for the film. But enough of next year, let’s show you wheat we found this year!

Chronicles Collectibles premiered their all new life-sized Terminator Endoskeleton! This won’t be ready to ship until the 4th quarter next year but it will go up for pre-order in a few more months. It will be individually numbered and will have creepy light up eyes! Check out some other great Terminator and Conan goodies by Chronicles Collectibles at their website HERE!

Profiles in History brought many awesome original film props to help promote their live auction. Yes, the actual punk jacket from The Terminator, the rosebud shotgun from T2 and other classic props were all up for auction and sold for mega bucks! Profiles in History will be back next year!

NECA toys also didn’t disappoint. They revealed a few of their NEW Terminator figures, which pay homage to the original 1991 Terminator figures by Kenner. However, NECA added their special touch with highly-detailed sculpting, upgraded weaponry and amazing articulation. Look for these three figures to hit toy isles and comic stores before Christmas this year!

It’s already been over five weeks since Arnold started filming the next Terminator and he has several more weeks to go. The amazing news is you could win the chance to hang out with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the set of the new Terminator movie! A winner will be flown out to Budapest this October and all you have to do is something great for your country and donate a small amount to help terminate gerrymandering! We're at 67% so far of the $30,000 goal to help “Terminate gerrymandering” so let's pump up the donations because we should all stay hungry for our goals!

A Message from Arnold:

I’m on a crusade to terminate gerrymandering, and I’m raising money for four different state initiatives to take the power from the politicians and give it back to the people.  I’m going to fly one lucky supporter to Budapest to hang out with me on the set of Terminator so you can literally terminate gerrymandering with me, as the Terminator.

Chip in to our campaign now. Do it because you want to protect our democracy and terminate the 200-year-old scam state-by-state.

Do it to let the politicians know who is in charge.

Or just do it to come have a fantastic time with me.

We've identified four citizen-powered movements in Missouri, Michigan, Colorado, and Utah that need our help to terminate gerrymandering in their states. With each state that takes action, our movement grows stronger and more likely to succeed at the national level.

Let's roll up our sleeves and terminate gerrymandering once and for all,

– Arnold Schwarzenegger

Planning your Arnold events for next year? Good! We just got the official announcement for next year's Arnold Sports Festival:

Mark your calendars for the 2019 Arnold Sports Festival, February 28-March 3, when we’ll celebrate our 31st anniversary with a record 80 sports and events!

The Arnold Sports Festival will attract an estimated 200,000 sports and fitness fans to watch more than 22,000 athletes compete in 80 sports and events, including 16 Olympic events, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, the Ohio Expo Center and various other Central Ohio venues.

The new events for 2019 include Foosball, Futsal and the Viking Run.
Daily admission to the EXPO is still just $20, but a new Fast-Pass Ticket ($30 in advance only) provides one-hour early access to the Arnold Fitness EXPO (8:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday). This seems well worth it if you want to see the EXPO early and avoid the massive crowds for a short time.

Of course, our must-see event is the Sunday Seminar featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger talking for an hour! Tickets are ONLY $25 to this fantastic event that sometimes includes Q&A from the audience.
Another great part of the weekend is Art at the Arnold, where artists come create and show their stuff. This year, a wood carver named James O'Neal will be at Expo booth 1551 and we have a preview of his amazing life sized Arnold, carved out of what else but Oak! It took him 6 months to create.

We look forward to seeing the Austrian Oak (both versions) in person next March!

The good old days are back! Arnold and the original Sarah Connor, Linda Hamilton, have been busy filming the new Terminator movie together, and September 26 was Hamilton's birthday. So Arnold marked the occasion by posting a photo to Twitter that recreates one from the T2 set.

We also wish Linda a Happy Birthday and can't wait to see her kicking ass with (or against?) Arnold as The Terminator. It's also fantastic to see our first glimpse of Arnold with endo-damage makeup! Let's hope we get some more official photos of Arnold from the studio now!

Exclusive: Arnold’s Health & Wellness Platform & Filming T6 for 3 More Weeks!

While Arnold Schwarzenegger took a short break from filming 2019’s Terminator to attend and promote the Arnold Sports Festival in Madrid, he told TheArnoldFans.com that he’ll be back with an all new line of health supplements. We asked Arnold if he’ll be releasing any new fitness supplements and he confirms something big is on the horizon!

Arnold tells us that people will soon learn about a company they are helping to create, which will be a health and wellness platform for average folks and also for competitive athletes. He didn’t share many details, but we can’t wait. "We are working together currently with some very interesting people” Schwarzenegger adds.

We’re certainly pumped to hear more about this new Schwarzenegger brand. We were also at the Q and A session with the bodybuilding legend where Schwarzenegger told us he took this short break from filming Terminator 6 and he was thankful that the production of this event film found space for him to return. Schwarzenegger also tells us he still has three more weeks of filming for T6. Arnold started filming in Budapest about August 1st so if he films for another three weeks, that will put his total film time to roughly 10 weeks - given he’s had a few days off.

Michal Krizanek of Slovakia took the top prize in the bodybuilding category at the 2018 Arnold Classic Europe on Satuday.  The 28-year-old was crowned alongside four other winners in Barcelona, including classic bodybuilding winner Sergey Serechshev and men's physique winner Dmytro Horobets:

Edward Furlong, star of Terminator 2, T2-3D, American History X, Pet Cemetery and more, has just signed on to do autographs and a panel for this weekend’s horror con in Sacramento! Furlong will be happy to meet you and sign photos or merchandise and take pictures with his fans on October 13th and 14th at Sinister Con held at the Scottish Rite Center.
TheArnoldFans is excited to meet this Terminator legend again and we’ll have a chat with him this weekend. If we’re lucky, we might hear Edward drop a hint at some possible involvement in Terminator 6. But even if he’s not in the film in any way, it will still be great to connect with Furlong again. On Sunday, Edward will do a panel on his Pet Cemetery role but we imagine fans will ask Terminator questions too. We hope to see many of you fans there at Sinister Con! Send us your pictures of meeting John Connor!

Exclusive: Exclusive: Schwarzenegger & Luna Confirm Final Week of Shooting for T6!

He’s been in front of the camera of Terminator 6 for months now in Budapest but finally Arnold Schwarzenegger has been able to take a filming break these last few days to terminate gerrymandering and to also meet with his fans. On October 27th, Arnold, still with his Terminator beard, did his first ever comic con meet and greet at Alamo City Comic Con.

John S was thrilled to chat with Arnold in Texas at the convention. Schwarzenegger and Sandahl Bergman signed his Conan the Barbarian poster. For many fans and for John, this weekend was "best in life”!  John says Arnold’s real life presence every bit matches his movie star charisma. He was very friendly and went out of his way to make everyone comfortable. He did not rush and made sure to give everyone some of this time.

When John told Arnold that he wishes he could be our President, Arnold smiled and said, “I’ll be back!”

It was here at the convention where Arnold did a panel and earlier our very own reporter John S was able to personally meet with Arnold and to get a quote on Terminator 6 wrapping up.
Schwarzenegger: Right now..just ending in Budapest, Terminator 6

Meanwhile in Budapest, Attila, our Hungarian fan friend, met up with the other Terminator T-800, played by Gabriel Luna, who confirmed that they’re into the final week of shooting there.

Schwarzenegger needs to keep his Terminator beard for a little longer in case of last minute pick-up shots or reshoot. There are also rumors that production might be moved to the United States for a limited time. Terminator 6 will be released on November 1st, 2019.

Recalling the Legend of Stan Lee, Creator of Muscular Heroes!

I was so honored to have met Stan Lee, the legend who gave us all a universe of imagination and let let people, young and old, feel like action heroes.  During his eventful life, Stan even made major contributions to Pumping Iron stars, Lou Ferrigno and Arnold Schwarzenegger. After Lee helped to created the Hulk for his own solo series "The Incredible Hulk" in 1962, it was later picked up by CBS and aired on November 4, 1977. Not too many people know that the series was first offered to Arnold but he didn’t want to do it so he told the producers to hire Lou Ferrigno. The Incredible Hulk has been one of Marvel's most popular characters for years and is the most relatable character to the bodybuilding community. Stan Lee’s creations even inspired fans to get superhero physiques so you can say he’s made an impact of the world of physical fitness on and off the comic pages.

In 2011, Stan Lee and Schwarzenegger spent a lot of time together to develop a super-spy animated adventure series called The Governator. During this time, I met Stan when he signed my Entertainment Weekly magazine, which featured a big Arnold article with photos of Arnold and Stan discussing their animated project.

In an exclusive interview I had with Stan Lee, he told me all about The Governator and he even told me about his favorite Arnold movies.

"I don’t want to sound like a sycophant” Lee began, "but there hasn’t been a Schwarzenegger movie that I didn’t totally enjoy.  It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think the Terminator movies have to be at the top of my list. And as for humor, I can’t remember seeing a funnier feature film than “Twins.”

Read HERE for the rest of the exclusive Interview Stan gave TheArnoldFans,

Stan lived a full life to the age of 95. While The Governator animated series was eventually scrapped, Mr. Lee still left a fantastic impression on Arnold.

"Stan Lee created more legends than any of us can count, but his own life was the greatest story he ever wrote. He inspired billions around the world, including me, and I was honored to know him.” – Schwarzenegger

Exclusive: Winner of Terminate Gerrymandering Contest Has a Blast on T6 Set!

While the set for Terminator 6 was as guarded as Fort Knox, one lucky Arnold fan infiltrated the Budapest set and was hanging out with Arnold for the day. Correction, that fan won a mega contest and was invited to the set! Michael K. is giving his exclusive story on working out with Arnold and spending a lot of time on the Terminator set to TheArnoldFans!

As many of you know, Arnold sought to Terminate Gerrymandering, where politicians redraw district lines to gain a greater share of their favored supporter base.  In essence, the politicians choose the voters versus the voters choosing the politicians.  Four states had elections to prevent this from happening, and Arnold was seeking to bring awareness to this and raise money for these campaigns. For those who did donate, one would be chosen to fly to Budapest and hang with Arnold on the set of the new Terminator movie. Michael K was that fan and he’s been a long time follower here at TheArnoldFans. Michael K was a well-deserved winner!

My Time With Arnold In Budapest by Michael K.

We have all read and heard about the amazing fan experiences Arnold has provided over the years.  Whether it was Blowing Sh*t Up in California or joining the Terminator on the red carpet for the premiere of Genisys, the Governor has always been extremely loyal and generous with his one-of-a-kind fan base. I had donated a few other times before in hopes of meeting my idol.  Truthfully, I never really expected to win and was never really disappointed when I didn’t, because I love supporting causes Arnold gets behind, such as After School All Stars.  Yet, there was always this small part inside of me that knew one day I would be able to meet Arnold in one way or another.

In October 2017, I took a two-week trip to California with my wife.  Both of us had always wanted to drive south on the Pacific Coast Highway and experience the great views the California coastline has to offer.  For me, it was a chance to map out a few Arnold pit stops that my wife graciously agreed to. I found some of these destinations on TheArnoldFans website and researched a few others on my own: Vivaldi’s Mansion from Last Action Hero, John Connor’s Foster Parents home from T2, Casa de Cadillac from Commando, Muscle Beach, the original Gold’s Gym, and of course Arnold’s star on the Walk of Fame.  Little did I know, almost exactly a year later, I would be hanging with Arnold on the set of the new Terminator movie in Budapest.

I was planning on donating to the Terminate Gerrymandering campaign, but again, I did not expect to win.  I donated the day before the campaign was over - $10 in total. I knew it wasn’t much, but I also knew every dollar counts with fundraising efforts. Days later, they let me know that I was the winner, and that I would be going to Budapest to meet Arnold!  There was an immediate flood of emotions inside and I thought, is this really happening? Still being at work, I had to suppress everything that I was feeling inside, but man was it hard!

The next day, I had a conference call with Daniel, Arnold’s Chief of Staff, and Lynn, who coordinates all of Arnold’s travel.  We went over some of the contest details and got all the travel arrangements together.  The trip was originally only for one person, but Arnold’s team was kind enough to allow me to bring my wife.  This level of generosity blew me away, as neither of us had been to Europe before and our wedding anniversary was right around the corner.  I knew this one would be impossible to top!

We flew out of Newark Airport via Austrian Airlines, en route to Vienna.  Arnold’s team hooked us up with phenomenal seats on the flight.  Extra leg room, extra wide seats, leg rests, and reclining seats up to 45 degrees – not to mention a 4 course meal!  Once we landed in Vienna, it was a short 40 minute flight to Budapest, and I was one step closer to meeting Arnold!

The hotel we stayed in was absolutely stunning.  The Gresham Palace has a very rich history and was built in 1904.  It underwent a total renovation starting in 2001, after almost being demolished and falling into disarray after World War II.  It was located directly on the Danube River and has a central location in Budapest. Arnold and his team stayed there during filming, and I can understand why that was their hotel of choice.

After a full day in Budapest and being up for 36 hours straight, I finally got to bed, knowing the next day would be the day I was going to tour the set and finally meet Arnold. It was the greatest night of sleep I ever had.

My cell phone rang at 7:30 AM and Walter, one of Arnold’s crew, was on the line.  He let me know that a van would be picking us up at 11:00AM to bring us to the set.  I leapt out of bed, had an amazing breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and took a quick shower to wake my ass up. A short time later, my ride was downstairs, and we were on our way.

I was on set for about 2-3 hours before I met Arnold.  We had just finished touring a few of the auxiliary sets with producer John Kelly, and I was about to sit down for lunch, when someone came over and told me Arnold was asking for us.  They said we could finish our lunch, but there was no way that was going to happen.  At that point, meeting Arnold was all I could focus on. The food, and anything else for that matter, could wait!

As he was walking towards us, I again asked myself if this was really happening.  I had watched all of Arnold’s movies, hundreds of times in total, and could not believe I was about to shake hands with my idol.  There was so much going on within me, but I managed to stick out my hand and say “Governor, it is an absolute pleasure to meet you.”

We connected for about 20 minutes and covered various topics.  In speaking with Arnold, he literally makes you feel like you are the only person in the room.  The previous week, he had attended a number of rallies against Gerrymandering, spoke at the Bonnie Reis Memorial Lecture, went to the Alamo City Comic Con, and flew into Budapest that morning.  I was amazed at his focus and energy, knowing the week he had just previously completed.  At that point, I understood why he had been able to achieve every single goal he had sought up to that point in his life.  His focus, drive, and attention to detail are unmatched.

We connected on and off for the rest of the day in-between him shooting scenes and attending to a few phone calls. Arnold called me onto the set to take pictures and made sure we had the best angles to capture everything that was happening at that point in the movie.  He even went as far as to invite me into his director style chair on set so I could have the best view of what was happening.

Again, I was amazed on how much Arnold was going out of his way to make sure I had the best of everything.  Let’s be serious, this is the former Governor of California, 7x Mr. Olympia, 5x Mr. Universe, and the greatest action hero of all time…. And he is making sure I have the most memorable experience of my life on set. UNREAL!

I can't give away any specifics about my time on set, but I can tell you that Arnold looks to be in phenomenal shape for the movie! In the 7+ hours I was there, they filmed 5 action sequences and the big sound stages and multiple auxiliary sets scream big budget blockbuster film!

In addition to spending time with Arnold and Producer John Kelly, I also got to meet Director Tim Miller and the new Terminator, Gabriel Luna. Gabe is a very funny and outgoing guy who practically introduced us to every single person who worked on the set.  All were extremely kind, welcoming, and friendly.  You could feel the family-like atmosphere they had set up throughout their time filming the movie.  Linda Hamilton was also on set that day and she looks to be all business in the movie – just like in T2!

I was amazed at the level of detail that was put into every single aspect of each scene that was filmed.  No detail, big or small, was being left unattended to.  Taking all of these factors into account, this movie WILL NOT disappoint and the release date could not come soon enough!

After filming had ended for the day, I met Arnold again coming out of his trailer.  He invited both of us to dinner for some authentic schnitzel at Kollazs, which was the restaurant at the hotel.

Once we got back, there were three other people at dinner: Walter, Dieter (another of Arnold’s crew who showed us around the set that day), and Tatiana who was a producer of Arnold’s upcoming movie with Jackie Chan, Viy 2.  A gentleman as always, Arnold saved two seats for my wife and myself, right next to him.

True to his word, the schnitzel was amazing and tasted just as good as my grandmother’s, who was also an immigrant from Germany.  Again we connected on various topics, including my career as a Physical Therapist, Arnold’s time as Governor, his current exercise routine, recovery from heart surgery, and some geography trivia.  It may have been the fastest hour of my life, but definitely one of the most memorable.

Arnold had another appointment at 8pm when dinner ended, but before we parted he said, “I think we should work out together tomorrow morning.” What?!?! Was I going to workout with the greatest Mr. Universe/Olympia champion??? I responded, “Absolutely, let me know the time and I will be there.” Truth be told, I barely slept that night, but woke up the next day full of energy knowing this was going to be the greatest workout of my life!

At 6AM the next day, prior to filming, we loaded into Arnold’s Yukon Denali and headed over to Flex Gym, which is an old-school bodybuilding gym right across the river from the hotel.  All the big stars work out there when filming in Budapest – Jamie Fox, Will Smith, and of course Arnold.

The owner, Adam, met us when we arrived and Arnold and I jumped right into a Chest and Back workout.  We did super-sets of Seated Rows / Hammer Incline Bench, Lat pulldowns (one set behind the neck, one in front) / Chest Fly, Pullover Machine / Seated Calves, and Combo Crunch Machine for the upper and lower abdominals.  There was no rest, and we got a sweet pump before Arnold went to film for the day. As in his training days during the Mr. Olympia competition, Arnold still works calves and abdominals, every day.

Arnold knew the best spots in the gym for photos, and we posed next to a mural of Arnold with Franco, a full size T-800, and other photo-ops throughout the workout.  Arnold made sure my form was perfect and I even managed to count out a few of his reps in the small amount of German I knew.

Prior to leaving, Arnold signed my Arnold is Numero Uno t-shirt, and we parted ways.  He said we should keep in touch, and I hope to meet up with him one day again.

Since Arnold was going to film for the day, Adam gave us a ride back to the hotel.  I could never picture this happening in America, but the Hungarian people are extremely friendly and generous.  Adam shared Arnold was not supposed to work out at the gym that morning and he believed Arnold made a special trip there for us… there he goes again with making this a special once in a life time experience.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about my time with Arnold, and if you are reading this, I would guess that you, too, are a fan of the Governor.  I can tell you that Arnold is one of the most genuine, kind, generous, and down to earth people I have ever met.  Despite all of his accomplishments and prestige, he made sure my wife and I had a memorable time in Budapest and I can tell you that it exceed all of my expectations.  It was greater then I could have ever wished for.

Arnold does not like to consider himself a self-made man. Yes, he has worked extremely hard for the success he achieved, but he shared that there were a number of people who gave him advice, guided him, and motivated him to “be useful.”

He is the epitome of the American Dream and literally makes the most of every opportunity presented to him. I hope my sharing this story helps to inspire you to do the same and work towards the goals you work towards everyday.  Arnold has taught me your biggest dreams can come true… if you are willing to put that work in. Get involved and STAY HUNGRY!
 ——

Congratulations of this amazing win, Michael! We look forward to hearing all the great Terminator set details when you’re allowed to share them a bit closer to the film’s release!

***add first photo

Arnold Launches "Ladder," a New Fitness & Supplement Company!

A couple months ago, Arnold exclusively gave us a hint that he was working on a new fitness and wellness platform. Now we know what that was: Arnold has collaborated with basketball star LeBron James, supermodel Cindy Crawford, and olympic skier Linsdey Vonn in creating a company called Ladder. We've seen the slogans on some of Arnold's social media recently: "There's no magic pill" and "Life is a workout." So what is this myterious Ladder? First, it offers a subscription to a new line of health supplements that have been formulated to be "better and safer" products. As the founders' letter on the website weareladder.com says:

After ending a brief partnership with a supplement company, Arnold wanted to build his own products using what he had learned from that experience. There was a need for high-quality, well-sourced ingredients, delivered with full transparency.

They also wanted it to appeal not only to professional athletes, but everyday people as well, so they've made a system that customizes to your goals and activity. The website includes a short questionaire, and from your responses, it recommends the supplements and monthly amounts that should work for you. The products include both whey and plant-based protein, an energy supplement, and a greens supplement, all in individual packets ready to mix with water or milk.

It was important to all the founders to take a holistic approach, so people understand that supplements alone won't make you buff or lose weight (hence the "There is no magic pill" slogan). So in addition to the supplements, people who order will receive "accountability emails" to help them stay motivated, and the "No Magic Pill" part of the website (which is free to anyone) will have regular articles by experts based around fitness, nutrition, and health topics. The ones there right now have some interesting tips on coffee and sugar consumption, losing weight, gaining muscle, and some delicious looking healthy recipes.

Arnold was tight-lipped about this before it was ready, but now he's in full promotion mode on Twitter, Facebook, and in interviews like this one in Men's Health. He has even been working the phones at Ladder, surprising people by personally verifying their orders!

So head on over to weareladder.com for all the details. There's great reading, like Arnold's bio page which includes a mini Q&A as well, complete with Franco anecdote! Then take the quiz and give the supplements a try- there's even a promo code for $20 off "WELCOME20".

Get ready to save a spot in your Schwarzenegger shrine of Blu-rays because you’re collection will NOT be complete without this fantastic upcoming documentary, "In Search of the Last Action Heroes”. Locked and loaded with nostalgia, ‘80s synth music, exclusive interviews (many for Arnold fans), and visits to iconic filming locations, "In Search of the Last Action Heroes" will be the most comprehensive retrospective of the action film genre that defined our childhood. Join popular YouTuber and ‘80s/’90s cinema expert Oliver Harper as he takes us back in time for the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at the most testosterone-fuelled era in cinema. Oliver will explore the stories behind the genre, speaking to the actors, writers, directors, producers and composers who helped influence and shape the films we grew up with. "In Search of the Last Action Heroes" will explore the story behind the ‘80s action movie genre, examining how studios were able to turn outrageous concepts into genre-defining tropes, and how the one-man-army sub-genre produced the superstars of the era.

While Arnold has not yet decided to attach himself to this project, he will be asked to join in the upcoming weeks of post production. Producer of the documentary film, Timon Singh, gives TheArnoldFans an exclusive statement on this project and as you can read, it sounds like Arnold bliss.

"The 80s was the time of the action star. Schwarzenegger, Stallone and Willis were the biggest stars in the world and their films (for the most part) smashed box office records. Just putting their name on a movie poster was almost a guarantee of a hit. It was a time where good guys were good, bad guys were bad and guns never, ever ran out of ammo.

Arguably, the biggest star of the decade was Arnold Schwarzenegger and in the upcoming documentary In Search of the Last Action Heroes, the film will look at the circumstances, social and political, that led to the Austrian body builder becoming a global icon and the impact in had on the film industry forever.

For the documentary, action film fans Oliver Harper, famed for his Action Film Retrospectives & Reviews on YouTube, and Timon Singh, author of Born To Be Bad: Talking to the greatest villains in action cinema, have traveled around the world interviewing the actors, screenwriters, directors and composers behind the greatest action films ever made.

Already interviewed for the documentary include a number of Schwarzenegger's peers including Michael Biehn (Terminator), Mark L. Lester (director of Commando), Vernon Wells (Commando), Ronny Cox (Total Recall), Jenetter Goldstein (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), Steven E. DeSouza (screenwriter of The Running Man and Commando), Mark Goldblatt (editor of The Terminator), Brad Fiedel (composer of The Terminator, T2 and True Lies) and Bill Duke (Commando, Predator)... to name but a few!"

Sections within the Blu-ray documentary will include:

    Actors & Actresses
    Producers
    Writers & Artists
    Locations
    Production & Post-Production
    Box Office Release & Reception
    Stunts Toys & Videogames

It Was Turbo Time for the Kids of the Hollenbeck Youth Center!

In a long, ongoing tradition at the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Los Angeles, Arnold Schwarzenegger brought his celebrity friends to help him hand out toys to inner-city children. Decades ago, Arnold heard many parents of these kids couldn’t afford toys so Schwarzenegger stepped in to give back to others in need. I’ve known about this annual toy drive called "Miracle on First Street” for at least ten years but this was the first one I’ve ever attended. A few days ago, I realized I had a lot of toys around the house that I didn’t need and then I looked over at my Jingle All the Way cosplay outfit and thought, “Hey, I think the kids should be treated to these toys by TurboMan himself! I told Arnold’s staff and the organizers at Hollenbeck Youth Center and they thought TurboMan was a swell idea and nice addition to the “Miracle” event.

On Saturday, December 15th, I checked in at the desk and was given a V.I.P. pass and was told I was going to be in the parade. What parade? I never knew of any parade but I was totally down for it. Upon entering the main room, I was delighted to see so many great decorations and thousands of toys to be donated. I gave my big bag of toys to the event’s Santa Clause and then went upstairs to find a changing room. Here, I found the perfect room, the gym! No one was inside so I began to suit up. My TurboMan costume consists of roughly 16 individual pieces so it took me roughly thirty to forty minutes to attempt to get all of these parts on myself. As I turned around to leave the room, I noticed I was getting dressed in front of Arnold the whole time!  I stood now face-to-face with a huge gym mural of Schwarzenegger!

Priscilla Hernandez, the VP of the event, showed me around and brought me down to the parade which was about to start. Not only did I not know I’d be in the parade, but they wanted me to be in front!  Here I was, TurboMan leading the "Miracle on First Street” parade of roughly 40 or 50 awesome classic cars and  low-riders with amazing hydraulic effects following me. I waved to all the kids as I slowly lead the cars for several blocks. I was happy to hear a few “TurboMan” shout-outs but I probably heard more small kids shouting out “The Flash” and “Iron Man!”  But that’s okay, as long as the kids were happy and excited. When I reached the final destination, I saw Tom Arnold has emerged as the driver from one of the low-rider cars behind me.

Not long after the parade, I entered the Youth Center again and I was asked to stand up on the stage where Tom Arnold and Schwarzenegger would soon be standing to address the crowd. A few minutes later, Arnold entered the room to the “Jingle All the Way” song: “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.  On the stage, next to Tom and Arnold, stood Terminator 6 star Gabriel Luna, city council members, politicians, a chief of police and myself. I felt a little out-of-place among so many extinguished people and you can really imagine my surprise when after Priscilla Hernandez announced all the people on stage that she even gave me, TurboMan, a special thanks. But I went with it and after I improvised a shout of “It's Turbo Time” in my best Austrian accent, I looked over and thankfully saw that Arnold was laughing and enjoyed my delivery.

Watch my exclusive video from up on the stage to see Arnold’s and Tom Arnold’s speech.

After Arnold’s speech up on the stage, we all walked down to the toys. Schwarzenegger was now ready to hand out these gifts to the very long line of eager children, The first gifts were the very best to reward the people who had actually spent the night in line. Bicycles and other very large toys were given out by Tom Arnold, Terminator 6 star Gabriele Luna and Arnold Schwarzenegger. During this time, I took pictures of the children’s big smiles as they received from Santa Arnold and I also did an interview for channel 5 news and took several photos for TurboMan fans and let them hold my boomerang. For the long line of kids, there was no end in sight but Arnold kept on handing out the gifts and gave hugs and high-fives.

In addition to entertaining kids and donating my gifts, my final goal was to attempt to get a picture of myself as TurboMan with Arnold. Wouldn’t that be something truly special, I thought. Well, not only did I get the picture, but Arnold liked my suit so much that he wanted to make a special video to share with the world on social media. Watch the video below and you’ll see why Im STILL as happy as a child receiving a wonderful Christmas present at The Hollenbeck Youth Center’s Miracle on First Street

Every year, the Hollenbeck Youth Center has been fortunate to provide thousands of kids and their families with holiday cheer and gifts during the holiday season. This year marked the 37th year of providing Christmas cheer to the families in the Los Angeles area and ANY child is welcome to come get a toy.
