“None of this (Celebrity Apprentice) will affect anything because I have managed to do my Terminator movies the same time I have done my Arnold Classic bodybuilding championships and fitness expos around the world and promote my environmental crusade, run the USC Schwarzenegger Institute and the list goes on and on. You CAN do all of those things if you’re very well organized and if you LOVE what you are doing. So I love everything that I do," Schwarzenegger tells TheArnoldFans.

"I’ve seen a script I really like, and every time I see fans, they demand a new Conan. The role means so much to me and I would love to do it again,” the Conan star himself recently told IGN.com.

"I always try to stay active," Arnold explains. “Even when i’m in the middle of filming. Like when we do night filming and we film from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning, and I will find sometime like 4 in the morning when I can work out with weights. Or 12 midnight. It makes no difference when it is because the body really doesn’t care as long as you get the training everyday. To me, it is very important to do something every day."

"For me, to be here in Spain now for the Arnold Classic for three days is absolute heaven,” Schwarzenegger tells TheArnoldFans. "We will have fun, we will be promoting. We will be talking about health and fitness and we will see the best built men and women in the world. We will see the world’s strongest man here and all kinds of different action left and right. It will be outstanding. I would not exchange my life for anyone’s life because it is so rich with different experiences every day.”

The 2016 Arnold Sports Festival and the world-renowned Arnold Classic bodybuilding championships will celebrate its 28th Anniversary in 2016 when the four- day health and fitness celebration presents more than 50 sports and events March 3-6, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Arnold Sports Festival will attract an estimated 185,000 sports and fitness fans to watch 18,000 athletes compete in 50 sports and events, including 14 Olympic events, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus and the Ohio Expo Center.

The Arnold Classic and related IFBB Pro League events and the Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding Championships will be held in the Battelle Grand and on the Arnold Fitness EXPO Stage at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. An expanded Arnold SportsWorld EXPO For Kids & Teens will be held March 5-6 at the Ohio Expo Center. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Lorimer have co-produced the Arnold Sports Festival since 1989, when it debuted as a one-day bodybuilding competition known as the Arnold Classic. Just when we thought it was the end of Terminator, due to a depressing rumor that the franchise was on hold indefinitely, all new exciting news comes forth that confirms film producers are in fact moving forward with future Terminator projects.

“Do we intend to have a next step of Terminator? Yes, we do,” says Skydance chief creative officer Dana Goldberg says at TheWrap’s 6th Annual Media Leadership Conference

Skydance is very happy with the $440 million worldwide box office, passing T3's $433.371,112, making Terminator Genisys Schwarzenegger's personal 2nd biggest hit in his movie career following T2.

"We're ultimately happy with the overall, worldwide numbers," says Skydance Media Chief Creative Officer Dana Goldberg about the worldwide box office results for "Terminator: Genisys."

While Genisys scored an impressive 440 million worldwide, only 90 million comes from the United States. 

"We're not taking the domestic total lightly," Goldberg begins. "We're going to do data and research, that's incredibly important. We'll do a worldwide study and really talk to audiences about Terminator and what they loved and what didn't work for them so that the next step for the franchise that we take is the right one. Do we intend to have a next step with Terminator? Yes we do."

But what of those original release dates of T6 (May 19th, 2017) and T7 (June 29th, 2018)?

"We are not going to go into production at the beginning of next year (as originally planned) because it would be silly to not listen to what audiences have to say and to adjust accordingly," says Goldberg.

So It looks like those dates will change and this new announcement about "the next step of Terminator" may very well mean instead of two more films, Skydance and Paramount may just do one more. That may not be a bad idea to do just one final, ultimate film and a side Terminator TV series.

10. More Future War!
Fans can never get enough night time future war scenes. These are always some of the best parts of the Terminator movies but they are always rushed or treated as flashbacks (or is that flash-forwards). Terminator Salvation showed a great deal of future life but their daytime humdrum wars completely missed the mark. Bring on the dark and gritty Future Wars! Genisys did well but we need much MORE!

9. Less Comedy!
Who said Terminator movies need one-liners and need to be funny? Get back to the dismal and serious tone of the first Terminator. Limit the Arnold smile to one per film.

8. Leave Mystery in our Movie Trailers!
The fans across the world BEG of you to please refrain from showing us the "I'll be back" line in a trailer. We want to see that in the theaters and be surprised to when and where Arnold says it. Also we don't want ANY spoilers in the trailer. Just show some badass action clips and we're there.

7. More Lorne Balfe!
This film composer did an excellent job on Genisys. Let's not hop around from composer to composer. Unless Brad Fiedel would come back (unlikely), Lorne Balfe gets Terminator and we can't get enough of listening to the soundtrack.

6. Embellish Upon Arnold's Powers! Arnold is a TERMINATOR!
We should be seeing the Terminator push his strength to the limit. We liked seeing him dive-bomb a helicopter More of these types of superhero-like powers. Now that the Terminator has been upgraded, go CRAZY with the T-800's viciousness, strength, and super powers.

5.  Go Slow-Mo!
Some of the best scenes of T1 and T2 were the slow motion scenes like when Arnold is approaching Sarah Connor in Tech-Noir or when Sarah falls to the ground and the T-800 approaches her in the Pescadero Hospital. When shot well, this really amplifies the tension and impact of the scene. We need more Slow Motion Arnold!

4. Firing Badass Weaponry While Wearing Shades!
Did it feel wrong to not have the Terminator wear sunglasses in Genisys? We need at least one 10 minute scene in the film where he's wearing some black shades. And let's get more imaginative on the firepower. The T-800 didn't shoot nearly as many guns as he had in previous films. We can never go wrong with some slow motion Arnold firing machine gun scenes!

3. We Miss the Horror!
The original Terminator was a horror movie when we felt the dread, the hopelessness and incredible suspense of the terror of the machines. Bring back the horror! Today’s Terminator films are focusing more on the action. Let’s compromise and get both.

2. Get Back to Rated R!
An 85% majority of the Terminator fanbase wants their action hardcore! Bring back the HARD R rating of the original Terminator for T6 and I guarantee the studios that American audiences will be back! The Termiantor was born to be BAD. He's a ruthless killing machine who stops at nothing until you are dead and FUCKS things up!

1. The Return of Bad Arnold!
Terminator fans long for the return of the BAD T-800! We want the cybernetic killer! We need the return of the role that made Arnold a superstar! Skydance and Paramount, if you want American audiences fully on board for T6, give us what the fans want most: a rated R, shotgun blasting, blood-splattering, nasty, gritty, gruesome, slow-motion moving, Arnold-cussing TERMINATOR!

Getting American audiences to see Genisys was a challenge but after looking into Twitter daily during its 2 month run, we noticed 80% of audiences who did see it, really enjoyed the movie. Despite the negative reviews from film critics, the hard core Terminator fans loved the film and hail it as the franchise’s best since T2. We at TheArnoldFans also have high praise for the film and were left eager for a sequel. Once American audiences see the film on Blu-ray / DVD on November 10th, we believe any skeptic or hater will be in for a real treat and be converted into an instant Genisys fan, creating even more interest and demand for future sequels. So buy that Blu-ray to show your support!

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s film with his highest kill count just turned 30 years old! Released on October 4^th, 1985, Commando would solidify Arnold as an indestructible A-list action hero. We bared witness to Schwarzenegger's enthronement as the king of the one-liners.

Finally, we have a cool treat here for you Commando fans and toy collectors. We recently discovered a super-rare Commando brochure once put out by Diamond Toymakers showing many unproduced toys from the Arnold classic film! Only a third of these items were ever produced and released such as the figures, 16” tall Matrix, Grenade, Watch, Pistol and Combat Vest Set. All others such as the Weapon Playset, Battle Rifle, Uzi Water Pistol, Outfits, Raft, Binoculars and Uzi Dart Gun were all unproduced. Now IF ONLY an ex-employee of Diamond Toymakers would contact us saying they have these prototypes for sale in his/her basement!

While sitting down with Debbie Lee Carrington, I was wishing we could have been chatting in The Last Resort but sitting with Total Recall’s Thumbelina on Earth was still a real treat. Debbie was sitting with me at a Star Wars event since she played an Ewok in Return of the Jedi but she was ready to leave planet Endor to remember her days on Mars. 

TheArnoldFans: What’s one of your best, most memorable or funniest memories of Total Recall?

D. Carrington: “So, one of my funniest memories of “Total Recall” is where we were getting ready to rehearse a scene where Michael Ironside points the gun at me. He says “Maybe YOU know” and I run across, pull my bowie knife out from under the table, run across, and stab the bad guy. When we rehearsed it, in the first shot, we have a retractable knife, a fastened knife, and then I gutted him like a fish, from his lower belly up to his rib cage. The Director says “We need more blood, more blood! Put more blood on her!” So the makeup people come and they, like, squirt the fake blood on my chest and my shoulders, pat it around, and he says “a little more blood, a little more blood!” They squeeze more and he says “no, no, a little more blood!” So he takes the thing, douses me in it. 

“Then I said, “oh, I can’t hit the guy, I can’t hit the champion in the crotch.” I’m running across the room and sure enough, as soon as you get nervous about something you rehearsed, BAM, I hit him right between the legs! I’m like “oh noooo!” But it was pretty gory - in the original footage, I saw in the original cut, when I was doing my looping when I gut him like a fish, there was blood and everything came out - the ratings board says “No no no no no, that’s gotta be toned down!” So, it turned out to be quite different.” 

TAF: Did you get to keep your Last Resort outfit? 

Debbie: “Yes, I did!”

Lycia Naff who played Mary, the hooker with three boobs from The Last Resort, also spoke with TheArnoldFans about her experience and Paul Verhoeven's extreme violence.

Lycia Naff: “That’s got to be the quintessential most fun day of my acting career. It was so fun and we had to do it several times. It’s not easy. They squib you up and then the head of stunts, he came over and showed me the guns and assured it fired blanks. I was so scared. I mean they really are real guns. But even when they were shot, there’s still a projection of air. He didn’t want me to be afraid of that so we practiced shooting me a few times. We got comfortable. Then it was time to do it for real. He said ‘when I say NOW, you’re going to arch your back and throw your hands up and the blood is going to pop and at the same time, I’m going to give you capsules in your mouth so you’re going to bite down on them and open your mouth so that the blood flies out.’ The first time we did it, I opened my mouth and just a little came out so we had to do it again. So again, Michael shoots me in the back, the stunt coordinator pressed the control and all the squibs opened up at the same time and I arched my back and I fly forward where there’s a mattress. They didn’t want me to brace myself, which was okay because I had the three-breasted plate on – all this foam. So I had to fly down and it was a big fall. I mean, it was like playing cowboys and Indians. It was the funnest day of work! We went through about 5 chest pieces that day. Sometimes we could just wash them off but usually they were ruined.”

Paul Verhoeven, the director of Total Recall, also spoke with TheArnoldFans to inform us how he got the Total Recall gig!

Verhoeven:  "I remember from Total Recall, being the director of that, with a simple phone call, Mario, who called me at 12 o'clock in the daytime, said there's a script called Total Recall and Arnold is going to do it. In fact Arnold has been pursuing it for a long time now. I had no idea what it was at that time but it had been around for ten years that project. But he said, 'you should be the director based on Robocop. So i'll send you the script now and you'll have it in about two hours. You'll have to read it and then come to dinner at the restaurant on Beverly and Rodeo.'  And Arnold was there and we began to discuss it. So six hours later, sitting at the table, I think it was Andy, me, Arnold, Mario and I think the head of the government (of Mexico?), to discuss it. And I had read it by then and I said yeah, it's a good idea. Can we shake hands? Then we all shook hands at the table and then they said, 'Okay, you can start tomorrow.’ "

We were BACK on the red carpet of the 9th Annual California Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the California Museum, TheArnoldFans claimed our usual spot on the red carpet to speak with some of the Golden’s State's legends/descendants and talk about fitness, Schwarzenegger and the beauty of the great state of California.

The California Hall of Fame celebrates residents of the state who embody California’s spirit of innovation and achievement and have made a mark on history. The ninth class of inductees into the California Hall of Fame includes Robert Downey Jr, David Hockney, Lester Holt, Bruce Lee, Ellen Ochoa, Buck Owens, Charles M. Schulz and Kristi Yamaguchi.

Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. and First Lady Anne Gust Brown walked the red carpet and stopped for TheArnoldFans to answer what he felt was Governor Schwarzenegger’s best contribution as the 38^th Governor of California.

“His (Arnold’s) best contribution, without a doubt,” Governor Brown began,“was his contribution on climate change and his willingness to sign the Global Solutions Act and to speak in California and throughout the world. He gave us the thrust that I continue today in California and because of that, we’re the leading state in province dealing with this profound challenge of climate change.”

We also talked fitness with the very athletic Kristi Yamaguchi, the Olympic figure skater from California. We talked about Governor Schwarzenegger’s fitness crusade and we wanted to know how much of a role that fitness continues to play for this athlete.

“Yes, physical fitness has always been a huge part of my life,” says  Yamaguchi. "I trained like an athlete for most of my life, but as a mom, I’ve taken the back seat. But now I’m trying to stay fit. I feel better, I’m more alert and everything when I know I’m taking care of myself. I think it is something that we need to reflect on, to take notice and to continue to encourage our kids to be as ACTIVE as possible.”

Inductee Robert Downey Jr. earlier told TheArnoldFans about his time in the gym and if he has fitness role models.

“I tend to do a lot of strength training for the Marvel pictures,” Downey Jr tells TheArnoldFans. “But more just to not look like Olive Oyl next to all of the other studs. I wouldn't know that I have any? I do have a great trainer, named Brad Bose, a great martial arts instructor named Eric Oram, and I also train with the Tracy Anderson system. But that's more Susan's (my wife’s) field of expertise.” 

Jean Schultz, wife of the California museum’s inductee Charles M. Schultz, answered our questions including what Charles loved most about California.

“The very relaxed atmosphere,” says Jean Schultz. “Because I think, well, not that Minnesota is a stuffy state, but California and where he lived here in Sebastopol, where he moved and settled, nobody knew who he was. He was just another dad coaching baseball. It’s such a big state and has so many stars, that it was a good way to be anonymous and not have to be concerned about other things that are happening.”

As a life-long Peanuts fan, it was a great honor to speak with Jean Schultz and to tell her that I take a photo EVERY year with my son on my lap with “The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” playing on the screen behind us. 

We asked Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, what she felt Bruce would have thought about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s physique. Bruce Lee was fit and muscular but would Lee have felt Arnold was freakish or admired?

 “I think he would have admired it," says Shannon Lee. “For him (Bruce), the reason his physique was as it was, was because he trained for function as a martial artist who needed to be quick and powerful at the same time. So he aimed his training toward the type of body he had, however, he was very knowledgeable about the human body and about kinesiology and biomechanics so I think he would have found Arnold’s training very fascinating.”

In the war of man against machine, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent back to 1984 by resistance leader John Connor (Jason Clarke) to protect his young mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke). However, this time unexpected events have altered the past and threaten the future for all mankind. Now Reese must join forces with Sarah and her “Guardian” (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to save the world and stop the next evolution of Terminators.

In the last few days, we’ve heard some interesting developments on a couple new Arnold Schwarzenegger film projects. While Arnold’s camp has not put out the official statement yet confirming these films, we at TheArnoldFans believe they will happen. So just to report on the latest from these two projects, let’s get you up to speed on what will probably most likely be on Arnold's film horizon.

478

As we reported earlier this June, Schwarzenegger is said to play a man who loses his wife and child in a plane crash, caused by an air controller's mistake, and that Schwarzenegger's character seeks revenge after the controller is punished and is placed in protective custody.

New information suggests 478 begins filming next month with a  production date begining on Dec. 6 with an expected shooting schedule to take 25 days. Why such a short shoot? Because this is not your typical big budget action film. Like MAGGIE, 478 looks to be a smaller released Independent film with a projected budget of $10.5 million. Arnold received major acclaim for his acting in Maggie and aims to benchpress his way into another performance-heavy acting role. So don’t expect epic fight scenes with wild special effects. Instead we hope well-deserved awards and Oscars could be a bigger goal. 

UK distributor Signature Entertainment has signed a six-film slate deal with American production company Emmett Furla Oasis Films (EFO Films). Emmett Furla Oasis Films is owned by established producers Randall Emmett and George Furla [pictured], the outfit’s previous guise Emmett/Furla Films produced titles such as End Of Watch, Rambo and Escape Plan. 478 has also closed a raft of major territory deals for the Highland Film Group, which is is handling international sales.

478 will be directed by Elliott Lester and Columbus, Ohio looks to be the main filming location! Considering 478 has a shooting schedule of just 25 days, it is possible that this film may be out in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Robot 2

Which will come first? The Terminator or the Robot? While we wait for Paramount and Skydance to fine-tune Terminator 6, many sites are reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be signed on by director Shankar for his film Enthiran 2 (translated to Robot 2, the sequel to India’s greatest action movie) with Superstar Rajinikanth. 

The latest we hear from sources is that Arnold Schwarzenegger may allegedly be signed on for a whopping $15 million for around 30 days of filming his role. Apparently, if they exceed the 30 days of shoot for Schwarzeneggar they would have pay a huge amount per extra day of shoot. Online rumors say the official announcement will come onDecember 12th.

A January 2016 start date is rumored and Robot 2 is likely to take two years to release due to the outstanding number of special effects. The movie will be produced by Lyca Productions. If Robot 2 comes out in 2018, theater goers might be seeing Arnold on the big screen that same year for Robot 2 and Terminator 6!

And what of The Legend of Conan? While Arnold and the producers still want this to happen, we’re now concerned that the NEW head of Universal Pictures may be unaware of the worldwide demand for this film. The last Universal executive wanted Conan as much as we did but with a new guy calling the shots, It may be up to the fans to express our desire for Conan to ride again! Once again, we wait!

While out promoting Allegiance, his new Broadway play, George Takei chatted with TheArnoldFans about Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, sci-fi films, fitness and Howard Stern fans. George Takei, known by most as Sulu from Star Trek, owes much of his revived success due to the Howard Stern show. In the last decade, George has been a fan-favorite as a reoccurring guest announcer on Howard’s morning show on XM/Sirius. If you know this this morning talk show, you’ve heard George on many occasions talking about his upbringing in a Japanese-American internment camp, intimate details about his gay, not-so-personal life, and best of all, you may know him from his war with William Shatner and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

TheArnoldFans: Hi George, are you still in a feud with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger?

George Takei: "I never was in a feud with him (Arnold), but I was angry at his veto of the marriage equality bill in California.”

While Arnold may have felt it was not the best time to pass the bill, as politics are always tricky within the system, Arnold is still strong with gay support.

Not only did his Twitter and Facebook pages show Arnold with the gay-support rainbow colors for several months, the former California governor, said in a press conference (which TheArnoldFans.com covered) that the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide was the right decision.

"When it comes to the Supreme Court, I'm very happy that they made the right decision on that, because we, in California, we're always a step ahead. We made the decision already a long time ago," Schwarzenegger, 67, said during a press conference for Terminator: Genesys in Los Angeles.

"Everyone has equal rights. So this is the right way to go, and I think it's a great celebration of America," he continued.

We strongly recommend you tune into George’s involvement on The Howard Stern Show as a fake Arnold impersonator often calls in to fool Takei. George’s loveable gullibility is priceless, especially that time when he thought “Arnold” wanted to blow up the moon!

TheArnoldFans: Arnold’s Terminator Genisys just came out? If you could time-travel to any year of your life, what year would you relive?

George Takei: “If I could time travel, it would be to this year, in June, when the Supreme Court ruled for marriage equality for all in the U.S."

TheArnoldFans: George, are you excited to see the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens film? Do you already have your Star Wars tickets?

George Takei: "Yes! I don't have tickets yet.”

TheArnoldFans: How do you feel opening night went with 'Allegiance' and do you feel Howard Stern is helping you with promotion for this play?

George Takei: "It was magical, and I love the fact that Howard (Stern), Robin (Quivers) and Gary (Bababooey) were there and shared that experience. They have been enormously helpful getting the word out. Now, all you Stern fans, get cracking. There's a line starting to form at the Longacre Theater for tickets.”

TheArnoldFans: What did you do for Halloween and what was one of your best costumes over the years? 

George Takei: "I had an Allegiance show. And there were Trekkers in uniform. I used to wear my Star Trek costume and give out candy. I also had a great kabuki outfit."

TheArnoldFans: I understand Brad is working out more…what exercises do you both like to do AND do you still lift some weights?

George Takei: "I do lift weights. Brad is now working out with a trainer named Michael Prince here in NYC and he is thrilled to get a Body By Michael.”
